In the health and fitness context, there are various illustrations depicting images of right and wrong exercises. What is the right way to squat, deadlift and/or even move?
We fear that this movement may be detrimental to the individual if taken out of context. One may develop avoidance to a particular exercise due to constant reinforcement that it is wrong or bad for the body. Remember that our body is an amazing piece of machine that is able to adapt constantly?
True, there are certain exercises that may cause harm to certain individuals due to their current condition, but let us move freely, explore movements and have fun.
Think of it more as a continuum, try out a particular movement; if it has a negative outcome e.g. pain or discomfort then stop doing it and try another movement. When there are positive outcome or reinforcement, keep on it and progress upon it.
Case in point, we hope that you recognize that mistakes are essential for learning and life is never about right or wrong. Just do what is BEST suited for you.
