Here are some scientific facts about women’s physiology:
1. Women tend to have higher percentage of body fats, less muscles, and lower bone mineral density than men. One explanation is that the women’s bodies are designed for childbirth.
2. Women can increase their strength at the same rate as men or even faster with resistance training.
3. Women who consistently fail to take good care of their bodies, while overtraining may face a condition known as ‘Female Athlete Triad’ which leads to Low Energy, Low Bone Mineral Density, and Menstrual Disturbance.
WHAT DOES IT MEAN?
1. When starting out, you don't really have to train any differently from men. However, taking good care of your body is paramount, as you increase your own physical, emotional, and mental awareness.
